Action-packed season expected as new EPL campaign excitingly kicks off

Arguably, global football’s most pulsating championship, the English Premier League (EPL) kicked-off yesterday to the sheer elation of millions of die-hard fans around the world. 

Obviously, the main storyline for the reigning EPL champions, Manchester City is whether they will be able to match or perhaps even surpass their heroics last season in which they fantastically claimed a rare treble of trophies.

Indeed, Manchester City were clearly a cut above the rest last season as they swept aside their rivals to secure the greatly desired UEFA Champions League trophy, the F.A Cup and the EPL title in what was a truly unforgettable campaign. 

Regarding the EPL, many will be eager to see whether the Gunners, who creditably finished in 2nd place last season, will be able to quench their thirst for the English Premier League title in the new campaign. 

In addition, it will be mightily interesting to observe the progress of the Red Devils, who under Dutch tactician Erik ten Hag made some impressive strides last season. 
 
On the whole, we should be in for some smashing football games and seemingly endless moments of high drama as the most popular football league in the world begins to take shape.
